Artist's Description

A farmhouse suspended in the mists of the Val d'Orcia. It was a cold morning at the end of December 2015 in the beautiful hills between Pienza and San Quirico d'Orcia. I was ready with my camera gear from dawn, but that morning the fog wouldn't let it go. Then finally, shortly after 10, the mists began to thin out, and the fantastic landscape of the Val d'Orcia showed itself in all its beauty. The mists discover only the essential, an isolated cottage on a ridge and the classic rows of cypress trees along the country roads. For those who love black and white photography, fog is always a source of inspiration for beautiful minimalist landscapes. It is no exception, even for this splendid part of Tuscany. Location: San Quirico d'Orcia | Val d'Orcia | Siena province | Tuscany region | Italy

About Stefano Orazzini

Stefano Orazzini

I am an award-winning photographer based in Italy, featured on all major media channels such as National Geographic, The Times, Huffington Post, The Telegraph, Lonely Planet, and more. I still believe that the ultimate goal of photography is to be PRINTED. This is why I chose Fine Art photography. Because it gives substance to what I do. When a photograph is printed as artwork to hang on a wall, it becomes a memory you can touch, providing a more profound emotion.
